Danbury, Connecticut
Danbury, the hub / center of Northern Fairfield County is more a large town than a small city. Excellent employment opportunities, regional shopping and beautiful quiet suburban neighborhoods all abound within its borders. The educational facilities include 13 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, a high school, and Western Connecticut University. Danbury has its town beach at the southern tip of Candlewood Lake with State Parks and numerous neighborhood parks throughout the city limits. Bethel covers 17 square miles of rolling hills in northern Fairfield County, 10 minutes from Danbury The town has 3 elementary public schools, a middle school and a high school, as well as a parochial school. There are several private schools in the area.
Recreational facilities include golfing, skating, fishing, swimming, cross-country skiing, indoor tennis and municipal athletic programs.
Brookfield, Connecticut
Nestled in the foothills of the Berkshires, Brookfield has a distinct rural charm. Educational facilities include 2 elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. The Western Connecticut State College campus is nearby.
Shopping is plentiful, with large shopping centers in Brookfield and Danbury, 15 minutes away Recreational facilities include golf courses, tennis courts, ball fields, bridle paths and 4 town parks. Nearby Candlewood and Lillinonah Lakes offer fishing, boating and other water activities.
Redding, Connecticut
